That a wrap on the ski year. Had a few more turns at Blue on Saturday April 11th.
Conditions were firm in the morning but very quickly became soft in the afternoon.

Had some great spring skiing yesterday. First run was at 08:20 , 40 minutes ahead of the advertised opening of 11:00! I was pleasantly surprised first thing the piste was solid , almost icy...very fast. Patrick and Todd joined me around 09:30. We skied until 10:20 then it started to rain. We headed to Starbucks for coffee. The rain slowed down and we were back on the lift at 11:20. Things were getting softer after the rain and the warming temperature pushing into the double digits. WE broke for lunch at 13:00 , had some great wings and beer. When we headed back out at 14:00 the sky was blue and the sun was out...quiet the contrast from the morning. We skied until 15:30...its was getting quiet soft and a pretty good effort was required. We grabbed a quick beer on the patio before heading home.
Three sessions in one day a total of 7,908 vertical meters or if you prefer 25,944'
Blue rocked on the 18th. Hooked up with Patrick and Todd. We hit North a lapped it for more then an hour. The had groomed perfectly and the piste had really good bite.
Wow , what a place. Some of the best Piste I have ever skiied. Long , 2K'+, well groomed and I cannot say enough about the Piste.
Headed out for an evening ski with my son Robin and my Granddaughter Aubrey. Arrived at Bule at 15:00. After renting Aubrey Snowboard boots we were on the hill at 15:30 starting the first few runs on the magic carpet at South. Aubs hasn't been out in 2-3 years so it was like starting over again. It didnt take her long to graduate to Big Baby. Soon after we were tackling Waterfall and when I thought she had enough control we took her over to Gords Grove in the Orchard. Riding up the Orchard lift she saw her first Terrain Park ... the response was priceless " THATS STUPID" LOL!.
January was such a blow put getting sick on day 2 of the EU Ski trip then getting sick again just as I was getting over the EU bug!
Picked up some new skies ....CARVING!
They are 170's , right length for my height.
Headed to Blue Thurs Jan 29 in the afternoon...a very cold one at -17C. Parked at the East Lot above South. Headed for Waterfall. I was none the less shocked at the difference in the Ski. It felt super grabby especially the outside edge when standing or moving slowly. Headed to Orchard taking it easy getting a feel for the skies. After a few runs I must say I was beginning to really like the new boards. Headed to central skiing Tranquility Lift line aggressively and I was hooked. The skies I had been in more or less skid and smudge , the new guys ripped through the snow. Loved the sound of the skies tearing through Piste.
So I tried tracking at Blue but it didn't take! Skiied for about 3 hours , probably did around 20 runs with somewhere around 15K feet +/- 5K feet ...probably somewhere between 15K and 20K elevation. It was really good to be out again. No to stay healthy!
Returned to Europe again this year skiing St. Moritz and the Dolomites again.
Skied a half and a full day at St. Moritz then I got sick and skipped the third day staying back at Chris's chalet with a fever. Next day was a travel day to Italy. I was able to ski 3 out of the 4 of our Italy days skipping one with raspatory issues ...probably bronchitis.
