Day 2

Made it out to Blue yesterday for first tracks....it was 8:55 am when I got on the chair after doing my first run.    Spent the first hour at Cruiser then the second in the Orchard ...beautiful corduroy trail  mostly untouched except for me!  Took my Skis in for a much needed tune up and had a bite while waiting for them to finish.   Meet up with Patrick and Daryl after lunch.   Was completely blown away buy how much better the skis handled .... best $28.00 I have spent all week!     Called it a day a little after 1 leaving time for an afternoon show shoe. 

Season Opener

Game on 2017-2018 ski season has begun.  Logged a couple of hour at Blue last night mostly bombing cruiser.   They didn't groom late in the afternoon / early evening so it was pretty skied out.   Its been cold and they have been making allot of snow and are quickly opening more runs.    Tried out my Marino Wool  top as a base layer and was quite comfortable.  Need some -20 weather to really give it a test! 

Skied with Patrick and Lisa for a bit but she hurt herself on the third run.   Patrick and I met up with a couple of his skiing friends and we hung out with them for a bit.   All and all a good start to the season. 

Season is almost over .. maybe!

Suspect there is at least one more trip to Blue this year!

Great Spring Skiing Today

Was out with Karl ,  Patrick and Lisa today.  It was sunny and around freezing no wind and the conditions were 100% fantastic!   Had a blast going fast even had some fun on the FIS Course!

Wowa

Was out with Marc and Patrick last night.  No grooming was done and it had been above freezing for days so conditions were really tough.  Skied for a bit then hot Rustys for a Beer.

FIS Friday

Was out again today ... great conditions with fresh and falling snow ,  thank you Mother Nature.

Was scouting out the FIS Ski Cross course today....

First Night - Warm Night

Was out with Patrick, Mark , Lisa and Taylor last night.    Spring conditions prevailed after days of warm weather and rain.   Its a surface I am very familiar with and really enjoy but you have to be careful not to hit a crevasse ,  wet spot ,  bare spot ... all kinds of ways to get hurt!

Cold Thursday

Snow and temps at around -10C today ...  conditions were great,  mostly.   Skied with Karl and two of his friends from Owen Sound.

Tremblant 2017

Just wrapped up 2 days on Tremblant last weekend.   Skiied  Friday with a large group but the real fun was had on some double black diamonds at the Edge...basically skiing down a cliff with allot of trees...

The hot tub and a great dinner were the highlights of the apres Ski ...

Day 2 was a Saturday and I had a theme " Single Saturday"  .   Line ups were sometimes big but I zoomed to the front of the line skiing " Single".  I was on the hill before the lifts started turning for first tracks at 7:45 am and was off the hill after they stopped turning at 3:30 pm..... fun fun fun on the big hill look forward to doing it again next year!

Cold

-12C start today but it was sunny.  Skied with Carl today from 09:30 until 12:30.   Used Toe warmers and was 100%.  Snow was great ,  best run was under the chair at the Orchard
