Cold Night at Blue

-20C when I pulled into the parking lot last night.  Met up with Patrick at the Silver Bullet then adventually Usama at Graduate.   Did a bunch of runs in Happy Valley then I had to split.

90 minutes of driving for 90 minutes of Skiing last night.   Dumb ass me forgot my googles ... it wasnt cold but there was freezing rain ,  ice pellets and then snow.   Yeah it hurt ...eyeballs were a wee bit sore last night and even today!!!   Tried to meet up with Patrick Powder Possy but missed them waiting at the clock tower at 6:15...next time.  I really don't mind skiing solo.  Streamed my favorite internet radio Okemos Brewing and just enjoyed moving to the tunes.   Would have like to have stayed a bit longer but the lack of goggles made things less then ideal.  

Usama Does Blue

  Usama is new to the area and a bunch of us at work convinced him to purchase a pass to Blue this year.   This video was shot on Tuesday Feb 2 with Usama ,  Patrick ,  Lisa and I on the hill.

First Tracks at Blue

Finally made it to Blue when the lifts started to turn.   There was a thaw with rain yesterday followed by a snowfall over night so I was expecting some great conditions and I wasn't disappointed.  It started to get a little bit busy not to mention Skied out by Noon,  everyone was attracted by the Sun and just below freezing temps.  

Mont Tremblant " Friends and Family " - Video

Tremblant - Jan 14-17 2016

Made the annual pilgrimage to Tremblant last week taking Ryan and Chris ,  Robin and Ashley ,  Noah and Landon and Huch.   3 nights and 2 days on the hill was a blast.   Spent a full two days on the big mountain even making first tracks the second day.   Conditions were pretty good and the temps were moderate ,  -12C day one and -4C day two very balmy for Tremblant.

Day 2 - Cruisin Cruiser

Up around 7:30 not quite enough time to make first tracks but I did make it on the hill 30 minutes after the lifts started turning.   It was really cold -16C a good opportunity to try out my new Handware  and Socks and see how the new Boots would perform in the cold.   Handware 100% perfect ,  socks ...so so and boots not as cold as the old ones but not warm either somewheres in between.   It was also a chance to play GoPro before Tremblant next week.
